The Canadian Branch of The Royal
Caledonian Curling Club
In 1852, the Montreal and Quebec City Curling Clubs sought
affiliation with the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and hence the
"Branch" was born. Today it is a committee of Curling Quebec and
in Ontario oversees the Governor Generals Double Team
competition and the Quebec Challenge Cup.
Jeremy MacDonald
of North Grenville, is Branch Vice President and District 2
Branch President for the 2011-12 season.
Robert (Bob) Dods
514-695-9796, is Branch President. Other Branch events-The Royal
Victoria Jubilee, Senior Men, Colts and Lady Gilmour, and the
new women's event, The Lassie, are now
played as part of the Caledonia Cup

Governor Generals Double Rink
Competition
DRAW
Congratulations to Navan's Kelly Oka and Ken Reilly on
winning the District 2 Final of the Governor Generals. They will
play in the Championship Final against Quebec at 1 pm on
Saturday February 11 at Navy Curling Club.
Quebec Challenge Cup 2011-12
Clubs are requested to strictly adhere to this schedule. If a
Club does not wish to challenge or cannot meet the date, the
challenge must pass to the next Club.
Each challenger is required to notify
Dave Ingham at
514-332-0368 in advance of the challenge date. At that time he
will advise you as to who is the current holder and contact
person.
