The Canadian Branch of The Royal Caledonian Curling Club

In 1852, the Montreal and Quebec City Curling Clubs sought affiliation with the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and hence the "Branch" was born. Today it is a committee of Curling Quebec and in Ontario oversees the Governor Generals Double Team competition and the Quebec Challenge Cup. Jeremy MacDonald of North Grenville, is Branch Vice President and District 2 Branch President for the 2011-12 season. Robert (Bob) Dods 514-695-9796, is Branch President. Other Branch events-The Royal Victoria Jubilee, Senior Men, Colts and Lady Gilmour, and the new women's event, The Lassie, are now played as part of the Caledonia Cup Series
